Common questions

Is Grabbin free to use?
Yes — the free tier includes 20 pin grabs per day and 2 board grabs per month, with original quality, custom naming, and section selection all included. Grabbin Pro removes the daily/monthly limits and adds video & carousel grabs plus a 30-day download history.
How many pins can I download from one board?
You can scan and grab an entire board — there is no per-board limit on Pro. On the free plan you get 20 pin grabs per day and 2 board grabs per month across all your boards. For very large boards, grabs run in parallel after the scan and bundle into a ZIP.
How long does a big board take to download?
Roughly: 50 pins ≈ 30 seconds, 200 pins ≈ 2 minutes, 1,000 pins ≈ 6–10 minutes. The bulk of the time is Pinterest itself — the extension has to scroll the board to load each batch (~25 pins per scroll). Downloads run in parallel after the scan finishes.
Does it work with private and secret boards?
Yes — Grabbin works with any board you can see in your browser, including private boards on your own account and secret boards shared with you. We never bypass authentication; if Pinterest renders the board for you, Grabbin can scan it.
What image quality can I expect?
You pick the quality. The default is "Web" (the size Pinterest displays). The "Original" setting (Pro) pulls the source resolution Pinterest stores — usually 2-4× larger than what you see on screen, suitable for design work or print.
How are files organized?
Each board becomes a folder, sections become subfolders, and filenames follow a pattern you control (board / date / pin description / pin ID). Bulk exports are bundled into a ZIP. Duplicates across runs are skipped by default.
Will Grabbin get my Pinterest account banned?
No. Grabbin throttles scrolls and downloads to stay inside Pinterest's normal browsing rate, so you stay well under any rate-limiting threshold. We don't use Pinterest's private API or any account credentials beyond what your browser already has.
Which browsers are supported?
Grabbin works on Chrome, and other Chromium-based browsers like Edge, Brave and Opera. Firefox is on the roadmap — the WebExtension differences are minor but submitting a separate Mozilla listing takes time. Mobile Chrome and Safari do not support extensions; on mobile, grabbin.app shows a "send install link to desktop" sheet.
